Woven in the Zari Kattam tradition, the mustard-gold body is punctuated by handwoven Kamalam buttas that repeat along the length of the saree. Their circular floral form gives the body a measured rhythm before the composition moves into the far more elaborate border. Border: Deep Arakku red frames an exceptionally ornate gold-zari border. Large traditional peacock motifs sit within a dense floral kodi composition, surrounded by smaller floral medallions and ornamental registers.

Pallu: The handwoven Arakku pallu continues the rich traditional vocabulary with repeated zari registers and ornamental motifs, creating a ceremonial finish to the warmer mustard body.

Styling: Deep Arakku is the natural blouse direction for a traditional treatment. Antique gold jewellery will echo the large zari motifs without introducing another competing colour.
