Multicoloured Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Mayil Chakram Motifs and Gold Zari Border
Multicoloured Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Mayil Chakram Motifs and Gold Zari Border
For the friend who always looks stunning in silk — one more for her rotation — calls for a saree of joyful, heritage-rich colour. This saree is handwoven in the traditional Paalum Pazhamum style — multiple coloured silk threads intersect to form vibrant woven checks across the body. Each saree takes 48 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Woven with care by our family's artisan partners in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.
The body features a harmonious arrangement of fuchsia pink, emerald green, olive green, turmeric yellow, peach, and royal purple pure mulberry silk checks, each separated by fine zari lines for a beautifully structured appearance — celebrated for its striking multicoloured composition reflecting the joyful heritage of pure silk Kanchipuram weaving.
Alternating Mayil (peacock) and Chakram zari woven motifs are thoughtfully placed within the colourful checks, adding rhythm, texture, and timeless symbolism. The saree is completed with a classic gold zari border framed by a radiant fuchsia selvedge and an opulent zari pallu.
A graceful choice for festivals, temple celebrations, weddings, and heirloom collections. Pair with a fuchsia pink or royal purple silk blouse and classic gold jewellery — a temple necklace and jhumkas — for a joyful, festive finish.
