Marigold Orange Varisaipet Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Arakku Red and Antique Gold Border

Marigold Orange Varisaipet Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Arakku Red and Antique Gold Border

For the celebratory moment that calls for colour, this marigold Kanchipuram carries all the warmth of a flower-strewn temple courtyard.

❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree takes approximately 16 active days on the loom, in addition to dyeing, threading and finishing. This is a standard Varisaipet estimate, not an individually recorded production time.

Silk Mark Certified Pure Mulberry Silk Handwoven in Kanchipuram

The body glows in vivid marigold orange, recalling kanakambaram blossoms and the golden edge of a rising sun. Small gold buttas are spaced across the silk, letting the colour remain expansive. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Read our story.

Border: Stacked layers of traditional Kanchipuram butta motifs, including annapakshi, yazhi, peacock and kamalam pettu, arranged in an array.

Pallu: An ornate, rich pallu with a grid-zari handwoven lattice of rudraksham, mayil, kamalam and chakram motifs, with vanki and aria madam silk thread bands interwoven into the zari.

Styling: A plain Arakku blouse or an antique-gold blouse allows the marigold body to shine. Finish with gold jhumkas and fresh flowers.
