Lavender-Sky Blue Double-Shot Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Antique Gold Zari Buttas
Lavender-Sky Blue Double-Shot Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Antique Gold Zari Buttas
Gifting the cousin who can carry any colour effortlessly — this handwoven Pure Kanchipuram silk saree is proof, woven in an enchanting double-shot colourway of lavender warp threads and sky blue weft threads that shifts with every movement. This traditional double-shot technique is a hallmark of Kanchipuram artistry, prized for the luminous iridescence it lends to the drape. Each saree takes an estimated 12 days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine (days on loom estimated — please confirm). Our weaver families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district bring this saree to life on the loom — read our story.
The body is woven from pure mulberry silk, its lavender warp and sky blue weft threads blending together to produce a captivating play of colour that changes under different lighting. Antique gold zari buttas are gracefully spaced across the body, adding understated elegance without overwhelming the silk, and the same contrasting threads appear beautifully in the hand-tied tassels — a hallmark of authentic Kanchipuram ceremonial silks.
The self-toned border and grand pallu are intricately woven with antique gold zari, featuring traditional peacock, yali, and floral heritage motifs — motifs long associated with grace, strength, and abundance in South Indian weaving tradition. Their rich detailing beautifully complements the shimmering double-shot body.
Perfect for weddings, receptions, festive celebrations, temple visits, and heirloom collections. Pair the double-shot body with an ivory or deep lavender silk blouse, and complete the look with antique gold temple jewellery — a statement necklace and matching jhumkas work beautifully against the iridescent silk.

Care: Dry clean only. Store folded in a soft muslin cloth away from direct sunlight. Do not spray perfume directly on the silk or zari. Shot-colour silks like this one are especially light-sensitive — extra care in storage helps preserve the iridescent sheen.
