Lavender Purple Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Gold Zari Buttas and Deep Aubergine Border
Lavender Purple Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Gold Zari Buttas and Deep Aubergine Border
Hosting a house party — the hostess in her favourite Kanjeevaram — calls for a saree of luminous, effortless colour. Delicate zari-woven buttas are scattered gracefully across the lavender purple pure mulberry silk body, woven directly into the fabric during weaving — a hallmark of authentic Kanchipuram craftsmanship. Each saree takes 40 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Our weaver families across Kanchipuram district bring this saree to life on the loom. Read our story.
The body is a luminous lavender purple pure mulberry silk, densely woven with traditional antique-gold zari buttas scattered across the fabric. The restrained placement of the motifs allows the natural sheen of the silk to remain prominent. This is a signature Kanchipuram pure silk Kanchipuram construction, prized for its understated elegance.
The contrasting deep aubergine border is richly woven with large peacock and paisley-inspired zari motifs, framed by ornamental floral bands and fine geometric detailing. The tonal purple combination gives the saree an elegant and regal finish. The pallu carries the same rich zari peacock detailing in a fuller sweep.
A graceful choice for weddings, festive gatherings, temple occasions, and classical performances. Pair with a deep aubergine or antique gold silk blouse and delicate gold jewellery — jhumkas and a slim vanki — for a graceful, regal finish.
