16 Days on Loom
Pure Mulberry Silk
Handwoven in Kanchipuram
The softness of lavender blossoms meets the depth of midnight-blue temple skies, as violet, luminous gold and regal blue unfold like twilight over Kanchipuram. The body carries a fine Zari Kattam, an intersecting grid of zari that shimmers as the silk moves, with small gold-toned buttas. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
