Border: The broad border is composed in layers: fine geometric zari bands, compact triangular edging and a wider traditional ornamental panel. Against the dark purple silk, the gold work reads with unusual clarity.
Pallu: The pallu is considerably more ornate, with a densely woven zari field framed by broad patterned side panels. The result is rich without relying on an oversized motif vocabulary — the impact comes from line, repetition and the contrast of purple silk against gold.
