Across the Kathiripoo field runs an all-over classic gold-zari floral brocade. Blossoms and curling foliage travel through the body like a flowering kodi, creating a continuous garden-like texture rather than a field defined only by isolated buttas. Rettapet: This saree is a confirmed Rettapet Kanchipuram. Rettapet refers to a traditional border treatment defined by strong paired or doubled linear registers. Here, the border architecture is developed through layered Reku-style lines and ornamental panels that frame the vivid contrast against the brocaded body.

Border: The contrast shifts decisively into vivid Rani Pink, within the Thamarai Pink family, like saturated lotus petals against brinjal-flower purple. Layered Reku-style zari bands organise the border, while ornamental floral panels bring the warm classic gold into sharper relief against the pink silk.

Mundhanai: The pallu moves fully into the Rani Pink field and becomes considerably richer. Dense classic gold zari, geometric detailing and repeated ornamental registers create a ceremonial surface with the ordered rhythm of traditional Kanchi weaving. Against the pink, the zari has the warmth of temple brass illuminated by evening lamps.

The complete palette feels like a meeting of brinjal blossom purple, lotus pink and molten temple gold. Kathiripoo and Rani Pink provide the saturated floral contrast, while the continuous zari kodi gives the body its distinctive garden-like richness.
