This is a confirmed Butta composition in pure mulberry silk, with small zari motifs woven individually across the body at measured intervals. Body, Border and Pallu: The body is kept beautifully open, scattered with petite Maanga-floral zari buttas so the luminosity and natural character of the silk remain prominent. The broad Pettu carries the more elaborate work: large Mayil-inspired zari forms emerge through an ornamental floral jaal, followed by structured Chakram rosettes, figurative woven details and closely worked Seer bands, with crisp Vanki-style finishing giving the border its traditional architectural rhythm. The pallu becomes considerably richer, turning almost molten gold with long zari registers and densely woven ornamental bands — against the Kanakambaram orange and Rani-pink accents, the gold takes on the ceremonial richness associated with traditional Kanchipuram silks.
