Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Gold Zari Motifs and Vermilion Red Varisaipet Border
Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Gold Zari Motifs and Vermilion Red Varisaipet Border
Reconnecting with old friends — a saree evening among the girls — calls for a saree of graceful, timeless elegance. This saree is handwoven in the traditional Varisaipet style — a traditional multi-band border structure with repeated woven lines. Each saree takes 42 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. This saree is handwoven by our partner weaver families in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.
The body is an elegant ivory pure mulberry silk, accented with finely woven gold zari motifs that lend understated richness to the luminous silk. This is a signature Kanchipuram pure silk Kanchipuram construction, prized for its refined simplicity.
The contrasting vermilion red border is woven in the traditional Varisaipet style, featuring majestic elephant motifs framed by traditional gold zari bands and finished with a deep green selvedge for a striking heritage-inspired edge. The pallu carries the same vermilion red and gold zari detailing in a fuller sweep.
A graceful choice for weddings, temple visits, and festive celebrations. Pair with a deep green or vermilion red silk blouse and temple jewellery — a long haram and jhumkas — for an heirloom-worthy finish.
