Woven in the Butta tradition, the ivory body carries individually spaced gold zari motifs over a discreet self-toned geometric ground. The soft ivory and pale gold palette is carried through to the elaborately patterned pallu. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: A broad champagne-gold zari border features large framed ornamental medallions interspersed with floral scrolling work, fine crosshatched geometry and closely woven decorative bands. The ivory silk edge keeps the richly patterned border softly framed.
Pallu: The pale gold zari pallu extends the border vocabulary into long, ordered floral and geometric registers, with a densely woven central field and finely delineated bands. The restrained ivory-and-gold palette allows its woven detail to remain the focus.
