Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Korvai Vermilion Red Peacock Border
Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Korvai Vermilion Red Peacock Border
A magnificent handwoven Pure Kanchipuram silk saree in an elegant ivory body, beautifully contrasted with a rich vermilion red Korvai border and pallu. Woven using the celebrated Korvai technique — body and border woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom — this saree is a masterpiece of traditional Kanchipuram craftsmanship, where the body and contrast border are woven separately and meticulously interlocked by hand. This saree involves two separate weaving processes for the body and border before structural interlocking on the loom. Each saree takes 20–22 days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine, brought to life by master weaver families in Kunnam village, Kanchipuram district. Read our story
The luminous ivory body, woven in pure mulberry silk, is adorned with delicate antique gold zari buttas arranged gracefully across the silk, while fine zari lines and subtle woven stripes lend depth and refinement without overwhelming its understated beauty. Explore more of our Korvai collection.
The richly woven vermilion red border showcases intricate antique gold zari peacock and traditional floral motifs, framed by elegant geometric detailing. The grand pallu continues this luxurious zari craftsmanship, creating a striking balance between timeless heritage and regal elegance. Discover more from our pure silk Kanchipuram collection.
The Korvai weave is one of Kanchipuram’s most technically demanding weaving traditions. The body, border, and pallu are woven independently before being interlocked on the loom using an intricate hand-joining technique. This seamless integration creates exceptional durability while allowing bold colour contrasts that have become the hallmark of authentic Korvai Kanchipuram silk sarees.
Perfect for weddings, bridal ceremonies, religious celebrations, milestone occasions, and treasured heirloom collections, this Pure Kanchipuram silk saree is a timeless expression of India’s finest handloom artistry. Pair with a self-colour ivory or contrasting vermilion red blouse, and antique gold jewellery — a temple necklace or jhumkas — for a complete bridal look.
