The silk thread butta give the body a softer, more tonal quality than gold zari, the purple and ivory together creating a palette of rare restraint and beauty.

The border is wisteria purple silk carrying a Varisaipet structure in gold zari — traditional multi-band border structure with repeated woven lines — the bands layered with circular Kamalam medallion motifs and geometric zari bands across the full border width. The pallu continues the purple ground with the same Varisaipet banding in dense gold, the ivory and wisteria purple combination completing itself at the pallu's full width.
