Pure mulberry silk is woven here in a classic Rettapet composition, with twin-register border detailing and small individually spaced classic-gold zari buttas across a soft Ivory gold body. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: The restrained gold Rettapet border is framed with narrow charcoal-black outlines, fine linear bands and compact classic-gold geometric ornament. The darker thread work gives definition to an otherwise tonal gold composition.
Pallu: The matching pallu shifts into a denser gold-woven surface with fine small-scale geometric texture, allowing the champagne silk ground to remain visible beneath the metallic weave.
Styling: A charcoal, black, deep maroon or antique-gold blouse will all work without disturbing the muted gold body. For daytime ceremonies, pearl or temple-style earrings and a low bun keep the palette soft. In the evening, a dark blouse and one structured gold cuff will sharpen the fine dark border outlines.
