Woven in the Korvai tradition, the body and borders are structurally joined as contrasting sections. The petal-pink edge and deep-green opposite edge establish the saree’s confirmed Ganga Jamuna character, while the restrained multicolour buttas preserve the open glow of the vintage golden-yellow body. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: Each border repeats a broad antique-gold register of stylised mango-and-floral forms, contained by small floral bands and geometric seer rows. The ornament remains consistent while the border silk changes from petal pink to deep green, creating the characteristic Ganga Jamuna duality.
Pallu: The pallu settles into petal pink and a dense antique-gold diamond-lattice field, giving the quieter yellow body a more continuous ceremonial finish while preserving the saree’s vintage Kanjivaram character.
Styling: Use a plain deep-green blouse to draw attention to the quieter Ganga Jamuna edge, or choose petal pink for a softer festive composition. Antique-gold jhumkas, a small red bindi and a jasmine braid keep the styling close to the saree’s vintage Kanjivaram language; open the pallu to reveal its dense gold lattice.
