Fresh Forest Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Butta Saree with Arakku Gold Zari Border
Fresh Forest Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Butta Saree with Arakku Gold Zari Border
Fresh Forest Green gives this handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram the saturated colour of rain-washed mango leaves. Small classic-gold zari buttas punctuate the body at measured intervals, leaving generous areas of green silk visible and keeping the surface restrained rather than densely ornamented.
Handwoven in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. The quiet Butta body develops into a much richer lower edge, where Deep Arakku Red and warm classic gold create a traditional jewel-toned contrast. Read our story.
Border: Deep Arakku Red frames the fresh green body with broad classic-gold zari bands, floral scrollwork, circular medallion-inspired detailing and fine geometric Reku lines. The denser border carries the visual weight of the saree, recalling the warmth of burnished temple brass against lacquer-red silk.
The composition has an old-school Kanchipuram character without relying on an overly patterned body. Jewel-toned silk, restrained gold buttas and a more elaborate red-gold border create a balanced ceremonial presence.
Styling: An Arakku blouse continues the traditional contrast, while tonal Fresh Forest Green keeps the body uninterrupted. Antique gold creates a stronger ceremonial interpretation. Pair with temple jewellery, restrained ruby or emerald accents, jasmine and an Arakku, deep-green or antique-gold clutch.
The green, Arakku and classic-gold palette works naturally for Navarathiri and Golu gatherings, Vijaya Dashami, Deepavali, Karthigai Deepam, Indian weddings, temple celebrations, classical performances and other festive occasions, ceremonies, cultural gatherings and special occasions.
Slight color variations due to screen and lighting; daylight photos/videos available on request.
