Emerald Leaf Green and Deep Kathiripoo Purple Korvai Pure Kanchipuram Silk Saree
Pure Kanchipuram Silk in fresh leaf-green, like tender thulir after the first monsoon rain, meets a deep Kathiripoo-purple pallu. A narrow Kesari-orange edge and purple temple-tooth transition frame the gleaming zari border.
❖ Woven on traditional handlooms by artisan families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, where generations of weaving knowledge shape every saree. Approximately 20 active days on the loom, followed by careful finishing.

20 Days on Loom
Pure Mulberry Silk
Handwoven in Kanchipuram
A Korvai saree, its contrast colour woven separately at the border, with temple-reku teeth and a narrow contrasting selvedge. Multicolour silk-thread animal buttas in yellow, lavender, pink and pale peach punctuate the green body; the figures resemble small ceremonial elephants. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 20 active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border The broad zari border has elephant and floral/arched medallion panels, finished with temple-reku teeth and a narrow contrasting selvedge.
Pallu The deep Kathiripoo-purple pallu carries a row of large elephants beside a dense diamond-grid zari field.
Styling Pair with a complementary silk blouse in one of the border colours, traditional gold-toned jewellery and a neatly pleated pallu to reveal the weave. For a quieter look, choose a solid blouse and minimal jewellery. A considered handloom piece for weddings, family celebrations, temple visits and festive gatherings.
