Dusty Rose Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Varisaipet Buttas and Deep Maroon Zari Border

Dusty Rose Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Varisaipet Buttas and Deep Maroon Zari Border

A milestone birthday marked in silk — the saree she'll wear to blow out the candles — calls for a saree of graceful, celebratory colour. Delicate antique-gold zari buttas are scattered across the dusty rose pure mulberry silk body, adding a soft shimmer while preserving the saree's refined, understated character. Each saree takes 42 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Handwoven by generations of artisans in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. Nothing here comes off a shelf. 42 days of dyeing, threading, and weaving go into every saree, 16 of that on the loom.
● Silk Mark Certified ● 16 Days on Loom ● Pure Mulberry Silk ● Handwoven in Kanchipuram

The body is a graceful dusty rose pure mulberry silk, densely woven in the traditional Varisaipet style — delicate antique-gold zari buttas are scattered across the fabric, adding a soft shimmer while preserving the saree's refined, understated character. This is a signature Kanchipuram pure silk Kanchipuram construction, prized for its understated elegance.

The contrasting deep maroon border is richly composed with multiple rows of gold zari weaving, creating the distinctive structured effect associated with Varisaipet. Ornamental floral bands, geometric detailing, and traditional zari motifs give the border depth and ceremonial richness. The pallu carries the same rich zari detailing in a fuller sweep.

The muted rose body and jewel-toned maroon border create an elegant combination suited to weddings, temple celebrations, festive gatherings, and classical occasions. Pair with a deep maroon or antique gold silk blouse and delicate gold jewellery — jhumkas and a slim vanki — for an elegant, ceremonial finish.
