Deep Violet Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Butta Saree with Fuchsia Pink Gold Zari Border

Deep Violet Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Butta Saree with Fuchsia Pink Gold Zari Border

For an evening ceremony, a festive gathering or a classical program, this deep violet KanchiPattu holds the body quiet with small gold zari buttas, then turns vivid at the edge through Fuchsia Pink silk, figurative gold zari panels and a richly worked contrast pallu.

❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree took 40 days — dyeing, threading, and roughly 14 on the loom — to complete.

A classic Butta composition defines this KanchiPattu, woven in pure mulberry silk, with small individually spaced gold zari buttas across a deep Kathiripoo violet body. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 14 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.

Border: A vivid Fuchsia Pink contrast border carries repeated classic-gold zari bird-and-floral panels, framed by narrow geometric registers and fine linear zari detailing.

Pallu: The Fuchsia Pink contrast pallu is densely woven in classic-gold zari, with a diamond lattice of repeated floral-style medallions, a broad row of large paisley-shaped forms and multiple fine linear zari bands.

Styling: Pair the violet body with a plain Fuchsia Pink blouse to repeat the border, or choose antique gold for a quieter treatment. Temple-style earrings, a single cuff and a centre-parted low bun with jasmine will keep the styling grounded. A plum or muted-bronze clutch can anchor the brighter pallu for evening events.

Current Look: Recent festive dressing has also brought purple Kanjeevaram silk and substantial gold borders into focus. Rekha’s September 2026 Ganesh Chaturthi appearance featured a purple Kanjeevaram with golden linear detailing and a statement border. This Idam Living saree is a separate handwoven KanchiPattu, distinguished by its Butta body, Fuchsia Pink figurative border and dense geometric gold zari pallu.

The violet, Fuchsia Pink and gold composition is especially suited to Navratri and Golu gatherings, Vijayadashami, Deepavali celebrations, weddings, receptions, temple programs, arangetrams, classical performances and other festive occasions, ceremonies, cultural gatherings and special occasions.
