The traditional Rettapet border is organised through twin gold zari registers filled with prominent Mayil motifs, stylised floral forms and fine geometric detailing. The pallu becomes considerably richer with long vertical zari bands and ornamental woven compositions. A narrow orange-red silk selvedge traces the edge, bringing a sharp, beautifully controlled contrast to the violet and gold.
