The broad border combines traditional peacock and floral gold zari motifs with a warm burnt-orange silk-thread panel and deep aubergine edging, continuing into the pallu — layered colour that photographs beautifully in festival light.

Styling Tip

Take the blouse colour from the deep aubergine edging on the border rather than the raspberry body itself, so the two elements speak to each other. Antique-gold jhumkas and a neat centre-parted bun keep the rest of the styling from competing with the border's layered colour.
