Deep purple and rust orange is a Kanchipuram colour pairing of festive intensity — two colours that create maximum presence at a distance. This is the saree for Navarathri's most public moments: stage performances, temple processions, and evening celebrations where the saree is seen across a room. This Kanchi Pattu is woven in the Varisaipet tradition, the body a plain deep purple pure mulberry silk. Each saree takes 8–12 days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine.
