This is a confirmed Varisaipet composition in pure mulberry silk, with a border built through several successive woven registers rather than one continuous zari field. Body, Border and Pallu: The Deep Purple body is deliberately open and restrained, with small spaced antique-gold zari motifs allowing the border to carry much of the ornament.
