Deep Neelam Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Petite Gandaberunda Buttas
Deep Neelam Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Petite Gandaberunda Buttas
Like evening sky deepening after sunset, this Neelam-blue Kanchipuram opens into a petal-pink pallu washed in gold. The small Gandaberunda buttas sit across the silk like tiny heirloom seals, while the pallu brings the full glow of festive Kanchipuram craftsmanship.
❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree spent roughly 14 active days on the loom, in addition to dyeing, threading and finishing.

Woven in the Butta tradition, this Pure Silk Kanchipuram saree balances an open body with petite zari Gandaberunda buttas and a delicate small zari border. The restrained body lets the rich pallu take centre stage, creating that beautiful Kanchipuram rhythm of quiet field and luminous finish. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 14 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: A small zari border frames the saree with slender gold lines and a gentle petal-pink contrast at the edge.
Pallu: A rich petal pink pallu glows with dense all-over zari work, a fine geometric brocade field, and traditional seer detailing.
Styling: Style it with a petal-pink, antique gold or deep blue blouse, temple jewellery or kundan studs, and jasmine in a low bun. It sits beautifully at Diwali dinners, temple visits, year-end weddings, Margazhi music evenings, New Year gatherings and Sankranti celebrations.
Its jewel-toned body and softly glowing pallu make it especially lovely for festive occasions, ceremonies, cultural gatherings and special occasions through the holiday season.
