Deep Neelam Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Butta Saree with Classic Gold Zari Border

Deep Neelam Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Butta Saree with Classic Gold Zari Border

Deep Neelam Blue gives this handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram a luminous jewel-toned depth, recalling the saturated blue of the evening sky immediately after sunset. Small classic-gold zari buttas appear across the body as measured points of light, leaving the intense blue silk visually dominant.

Handwoven in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. The restrained butta body creates a quieter field before the saree develops into a substantially richer ceremonial lower border. Read our story.

Border: Broad classic-gold zari is organized through layered ornamental bands, scrolling floral forms and traditional geometric Reku detailing. Against the Deep Neelam ground, the concentrated gold has the visual richness associated with old Kanchipuram temple ornament.

Styling: A tonal Deep Neelam blouse keeps the saturated blue uninterrupted, while Arakku or Rani Pink introduces a traditional contrast. Antique gold creates a more ceremonial direction. Pair with temple jewellery, pearls or restrained ruby and emerald accents.

The jewel-blue and classic-gold palette works naturally for Deepavali, temple celebrations, weddings, receptions, arangetrams and other festive occasions, ceremonies, cultural gatherings and special occasions.

Slight color variations due to screen and lighting; daylight photos/videos available on request.

What defines the Butta body of this Deep Neelam Kanchipuram saree?
Small classic-gold zari buttas are spaced across the Deep Neelam body, creating measured points of ornament while allowing the saturated blue silk to remain dominant.
How would you describe Deep Neelam Blue?
Deep Neelam is a saturated jewel-toned blue reminiscent of the evening sky immediately after sunset. This saree should not be described as teal or Mayil Kazhuthu.
What detailing appears in the border?
The broad classic-gold border combines layered ornamental bands, scrolling floral forms and traditional geometric Reku detailing.
What does the Reku detailing contribute to the border?
The fine geometric Reku lines help divide and frame the richer ornamental registers, giving the substantial gold border a disciplined woven structure.
Is the pallu design confirmed?
No. The pallu has not been separately confirmed for this product, so no specific pallu colour, motif or construction should be assumed.
How does the gold appear against Deep Neelam Blue?
The cool saturated blue creates strong contrast with the warm classic-gold zari, making the scattered buttas and concentrated border ornament particularly visible.
How can this saree be styled?
A tonal Deep Neelam blouse creates a saturated blue treatment, while Arakku or Rani Pink introduces traditional contrast. Antique gold offers a more ceremonial direction.
Does the saree include a blouse piece?
Yes. The saree measures 6.3 m in total and includes a 0.8 m running blouse piece. The blouse-piece colour and design should not be assumed unless separately confirmed.
Is Fall & Pico included?
