Deep Maroon Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Gold Zari Mango Buttas and Annam Border

Deep Maroon Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Gold Zari Mango Buttas and Annam Border

Welcoming a daughter-in-law with her first family Kanjeevaram — calls for a saree of sophisticated, timeless elegance. This saree is crafted in the traditional Rettapet weave — twin parallel border lines create a balanced layered edge. Each saree takes 43 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Every thread passes through the hands of artisan families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.

Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. From raw silk to finished saree: 43 days, including about 18 of hand-weaving on the loom.
● Silk Mark Certified● 18 Days on Loom● Pure Mulberry Silk● Handwoven in Kanchipuram

The body is woven in an elegant deep maroon pure mulberry silk with classic gold zari mango buttas that lend a subtle richness to the silk — a signature Kanchipuram pure silk Kanchipuram Rettapet construction.

The broad border features elaborate Annam (mythical swan) and floral zari motifs framed by traditional Rettapet bands, while the grand gold zari pallu enhances its regal finish.

This timeless weave is ideal for festive occasions, weddings, and heirloom collections. Pair with a deep maroon or ivory silk blouse and classic gold jewellery — a temple necklace and jhumkas — for a regal, celebratory finish.
