This Kanchipuram is woven in a classic Butta composition in pure mulberry silk, with small individually spaced gold zari buttas woven across a deep forest green body. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: A warm rust-red outer edge frames a broad classic-gold zari Yaanai border. Repeated elephants sit within ornamental curved enclosures, finished with fine floral and geometric supporting details and a small pointed leaf-like zari edging along the inner border.

Pallu: The deep forest green pallu is substantially richer than the body, with a dense classic-gold zari diamond and square lattice across the principal field, broad ornamental registers, repeated large paisley-shaped forms with floral-style filling and multiple fine parallel zari bands.

Styling: Pair the forest green body with a rust-red blouse to repeat the outer border, or choose antique gold for a more tonal treatment. Temple-style earrings, a single traditional necklace and a low bun with jasmine will suit ceremonies beautifully. For an evening reception, a muted rust or dark-gold potli can echo the border without competing with the Yaanai work.
