The deep forest green body is woven in the traditional Zari Kattam style, with fine gold zari lines crossing the silk to create a delicate checked grid. Beautifully defined floral medallions and traditional ornamental zari motifs punctuate the checks, bringing rhythm and detail to the rich green ground.

The broad border is particularly elaborate, built in multiple registers of glowing gold zari. Floral vines, stylised peacock motifs and finely worked geometric bands create a richly layered composition, finished with a narrow raspberry pink selvedge that brings an unexpected flash of colour to the deep green and gold.
