Deep Emerald Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Pattupet Saree with Turmeric Gold Border
Deep Emerald Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Pattupet Saree with Turmeric Gold Border
This handwoven pure silk Kanjivaram brings together one of the most enduring South Indian colour pairings in an especially graphic Pattupet composition. The body is a deep emerald to bottle green, rich and saturated with a cool undertone that gives the silk remarkable depth.
❖ Handwoven to order, not mass-produced — each piece is individually woven by hand on the loom.
This is a Pattupet Kanchipuram, a silk-only construction with no zari. Small woven gold-toned motifs are spaced across the emerald body, creating measured points of ornament while allowing the intensity of the green silk to remain dominant. Explore our pure silk Kanchipuram collection.
The border shifts decisively into warm turmeric-mustard silk, almost saffron in tone. Its luminous appearance comes entirely from the woven silk rather than metallic zari. Fine raspberry-pink accents run through the border alongside precise ornamental registers, introducing a small jewel-bright contrast to the traditional green-and-gold palette.
The pallu expands the turmeric-gold colour into a broad woven field filled with fine geometric texture and layered ornamental registers. Against the cool emerald body, the large expanse of warm golden silk creates a ceremonial finish without relying on conventional zari shimmer.
The palette feels festive and unmistakably Kanchipuram: deep emerald green, warm turmeric gold and flashes of raspberry pink. Rich in colour but disciplined in ornament, its beauty comes from the precision of the Pattupet weaving and the strength of the contrast.
Styling: Keep the blouse either deep emerald or turmeric-gold for a classical treatment, or pick up the narrow raspberry accent with a sharply tailored pink silk blouse. Choose restrained temple-inspired jewellery so the unusual silk-only border remains clearly visible.
