Deep Crimson Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Zari Kattam Saree with Rich Gold Border
Deep Crimson Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Zari Kattam Saree with Rich Gold Border
For a 25th wedding anniversary dinner, where the silver jubilee calls for something as rich as the milestone itself. This deep-crimson Pure Silk Kanchipuram is woven in the classic Zari Kattam style, with fine gold zari lines crossing the body to create an intricate checked grid.
❖ 42 days in the making. From dyed silk thread to finished weave, with about 16 of that on the loom itself.

The saturated red silk remains beautifully visible between the checks, while slightly broader ornamental zari lines punctuate the composition and give the body a measured, architectural rhythm. The effect is rich without becoming visually heavy.
The borders are substantially worked in warm gold zari, with stylised peacock-inspired motifs, floral detailing and fine geometric registers arranged against the crimson silk. Bands of plain red between the zari sections give the border definition and allow the ornamentation to read clearly. Explore the wider pure silk Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.
The pallu becomes considerably more elaborate, opening into a dense gold zari chevron field framed by richly patterned ornamental panels. Against the deep crimson ground, the zari has a particularly luminous, old-world Kanchipuram character.
Styling suggestion: Use the included blouse piece for a tonal, uninterrupted look and keep the jewellery focused rather than layered — antique-gold jhumkas, a single kada and a small deep-red bindi are enough to complement the strength of the zari work.
