Deep Chilli Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Gold Zari Buttas and Antique Gold Border
Deep Chilli Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Gold Zari Buttas and Antique Gold Border
This handwoven pure silk Kanchi Pattu glows in a deep chilli red with a rich Kumkum undertone, saturated with the warmth of traditional Kanchipuram red without becoming overly bright or maroon. As the silk folds, the colour deepens into burnished crimson shadows.

The body follows a classic Butta composition. Petite individually woven gold zari motifs are placed rhythmically across the red silk, their softly rounded floral-paisley forms appearing like small drops of gold against the open field. Additional petite floral forms introduce subtle variation without making the body feel busy.
The border is considerably more dramatic. A deep espresso-maroon ground is illuminated with broad antique-gold appearance zari, where large Mayil, or peacock, motifs repeat within curling floral ornament. Circular floral registers, fine linear bands and textured geometric detailing give the border a richly layered, almost temple-jewel quality.
The pallu continues the darker border story, moving into a deep brown-red ground with a broad concentration of antique-gold zari. A fine geometric field and layered ornamental registers create a richly worked finish against the restrained chilli-red body.
The strength of the saree lies in its balance: glowing Kumkum-red silk, sparse jewel-like buttas and a dark, sculptural border in warm antique gold.
Styling: Pair it with a tonal chilli-red or deep espresso-maroon silk blouse and allow the border to provide most of the ornament. Antique-gold jhumkas or one traditional necklace are enough. An open pallu will show the transition from the restrained red body into the richly woven darker finish.
