The Rettapet body in deep chestnut plum — an exceptionally deep plum-toned chestnut-brown body — dark, rich and complex, but distinctly not black — scattered with petite gold zari-woven buttas that bring just enough light to the intense colour, in pure mulberry silk.

The border is a contrasting ivory Rettapet border, intricately handwoven with fine gold zari detailing and traditional ornamental bands, completed with an ivory pallu continuing the fine gold zari detailing of the border, unusually elegant against the deep chestnut-plum body.

Handwoven by skilled artisan families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, using pure mulberry silk and traditional handloom techniques, this saree is perfect for weddings, festive celebrations and heirloom-worthy occasions.

Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m self-colour piece, with complimentary tailoring through August 27 ($30 value). See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
