Zari Kattam describes the finely ordered gold zari grid across the deep aubergine silk body. Small spaced gold buttas punctuate the checks, while the generous border gives the darker field a luminous outline. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: Broad magenta-purple border with large repeated stylised peacock motifs in gold zari, floral scrolls, a narrow patterned inner edge and matching magenta selvedge.

Pallu: Magenta-purple pallu with a densely repeated small floral-geometric gold zari field, ornamental vertical register and fine gold-lined section.

Styling: Pair with a plain magenta silk blouse or a muted antique-gold blouse. Choose compact gold earrings and a low bun to allow the peacock-patterned border to remain the focus. The darker body works particularly well in evening photographs.
