Crimson and Gold Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Varisaipet Peacock Border

There's a reason a bold red saree remains a wedding-season favourite — it photographs beautifully and carries a room the moment you walk in. The defining feature here is a Varisaipet border: a traditional multi-band border structure with repeated woven lines, built up in layered bands rather than a single motif row. The body is a crimson pure mulberry silk with small scattered gold-zari florals, kept light so the border remains the centrepiece — part of our pure silk Kanchipuram collection.

The Varisaipet border and pallu are woven in a deep gold, with repeated bands of peacocks and elephants — a rich, ceremonial finish traditionally reserved for weddings and formal functions.

Pair it with a gold or self-crimson blouse, and let temple jewellery — a gold necklace and jhumkas — complete the look. It suits weddings, receptions, and other formal ceremonial occasions.
