Coral-Arakku Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Vairaoosi Saree with Green Selvedge and Gold Zari
Coral-Arakku Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Vairaoosi Saree with Green Selvedge and Gold Zari
Coral-Arakku gives this handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu a warm, lacquered red-orange character, built around the fine linear rhythm of traditional Vairaoosi. Closely worked zari lines travel through the silk, bringing texture and light without the visual weight of a heavily brocaded field.
❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree took 45 days — dyeing, threading, and roughly 20 on the loom — to complete.

This is a confirmed Vairaoosi composition. Closely worked linear zari creates the needle-like stripe rhythm associated with Vairaoosi, with large traditional gold-zari motifs appearing selectively across the warm Coral-Arakku body.
Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 20 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: A narrow Green selvedge creates a precise cool colour break against the warm body.
Pallu: Zari-rich ornamental bands and densely woven passages extend the traditional language more fully toward the border and pallu.
Styling: Coral-Arakku creates the strongest tonal blouse direction, while Green references the narrow selvedge. Antique gold gives a natural ceremonial finish.
