Woven in the Butta tradition, the coffee-brown silk body carries neatly repeated gold zari kamalam and peacock motifs. Their alternating round and figurative forms create a rhythmic pattern against the dark silk without turning the body into a continuous brocade. Border: A wide, fresh turquoise border is built from several slim gold zari lines, chevrons and geometric bands. A repeating row of ornamental paisley-like forms appears within the band, while fine framing and a narrow plain turquoise edge keep the overall effect crisp.
Pallu: The turquoise pallu expands into a fine, luminous gold zari diamond lattice framed by narrow ornamental columns. Small floral and paisley-like detailing along the edges continues into the richly patterned turquoise end border.
