The border has a distinctly rich, Banarasi-inspired visual character. It is thick and elaborately handwoven in zari, with peacocks and floral forms intertwined through the decorative field.
The more restrained body and substantial border create a beautiful balance. The pallu continues the richly worked zari vocabulary, giving the end of the saree a fuller ceremonial finish.
