Blush Peach Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Korvai Vermilion Temple Border

Blush Peach Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Korvai Vermilion Temple Border

The mehendi and haldi evening before a big fat desi wedding calls for a saree that's festive without competing with the bride, and this Blush Peach Pure Silk Kanjeevaram saree strikes that balance. Body and border are woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom — the defining construction of Korvai weaving. Each saree involves two separate weaving processes, taking 45 days from dyeing to weaving, and cannot be replicated by machine. Handwoven by generations of artisans in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

❖ Handwoven to order, not mass-produced.

Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree took 45 days — dyeing, threading, and roughly 20 days on the loom — to complete.

The body glows luminous blush peach, in pure mulberry silk, woven with delicate zari checks and scattered traditional zari buttas. Discover more Korvai Kanchipuram silks.

The contrasting vermilion-red Korvai border is richly worked in gold zari with ornamental and temple-inspired detailing, continuing into the pallu — warm enough to hold its own in festive lighting.

Styling Tip

Pick up the vermilion-red border for the blouse itself, so the two colours speak directly to each other across the drape. Antique-gold jhumkas and a loose, fresh-flower-finished braid keep the overall styling festive but easy for an evening of dancing.

Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m self-colour blush peach silk. Complimentary custom stitching through Aug 27 ($30 value) — see our Blouse Stitching Guide.
