The Zari Kattam body carries closely spaced gold lines running across the plum silk, with small gold buttas appearing between the checks. Border: The broad magenta-purple border uses framed gold zari registers, including a clearly visible elephant row, smaller ornamental motifs and fine bands. The richly filled sections give the edge definition when the pleats are gathered.

Pallu: The magenta pallu opens into an extensive gold diamond-lattice field. A richly patterned vertical side register and broad ornamented edge balance the geometric centre without repeating the relatively open checked body.
