Black and Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Zari Kattam Grid Body

For the Chicago Engagement Ceremony, this black Kanchipuram silk carries the authority of deep ceremonial colour and precise weave structure. The body is woven in jet black pure mulberry silk with a clear, luminous Zari Kattam grid — gold zari threads running in clean intersecting lines to form a glowing checked pattern. Zari Kattam refers to fine zari threads intersecting across the silk body to form a luminous grid — a weave of structured shimmer that defines the body from edge to edge.

The jet black silk body absorbs light and releases it through the gold zari grid, creating a bold geometric depth across the full body. The contrast between the darkness of the silk and the clarity of the gold lines gives the fabric a dramatic graphic quality.
