Zari Kattam gives the body its ordered gold grid, with fine zari lines crossing the deep black silk to create measured rectangular checks. Small spaced gold-zari floral cluster buttas interrupt that geometry without crowding it, keeping the body graphic and composed. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: The contrast border shifts into saturated burnt orange, built in multiple classic-gold zari registers. Fine geometric bands frame a broader ornamental floral-vine section, with the orange silk left visible between the zari bands so the structure reads clearly against the black body.
Pallu: The pallu is fully visible and dramatically richer, with a large central classic-gold zari field framed by burnt-orange silk and repeated longitudinal zari bands. Ornamental floral registers and fine geometric lines echo the border while giving the end piece a distinctly ceremonial finish.
