The Vairaoosi body is defined by fine, closely ordered linear striping that gives this Arakku silk a subtly ribbed visual rhythm. Small gold zari buttas sit apart from one another, leaving the colour and fine-line structure clearly visible. Border: A broad warm-gold zari border is arranged in repeating ornamental panels. Large Maanga-shaped forms appear above a sequence of finely lined and lattice-filled sections, with delicate figurative detailing near the outer edge. Its dense pattern contrasts with the more open Vairaoosi body.

Pallu: The pallu becomes extensively gold zari woven, with small closely repeated geometric forms, ornamental framing and a pointed decorative edge. Its metallic field contrasts with the fine red-maroon lines across the body.
