Aqua Turquoise Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Butta Saree with Orchid Pink Gold Zari Border

Aqua Turquoise Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Butta Saree with Orchid Pink Gold Zari Border

Aqua turquoise silk gives this Kanjeevaram a clear jewel-toned body, punctuated with small gold zari buttas before the colour turns vivid at the edge. Orchid Pink frames the saree through figurative gold zari work and opens into a densely woven contrast pallu, creating a bright traditional pairing for the festive season.

❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree took 40 days — dyeing, threading, and roughly 14 on the loom — to complete.

This Kanjeevaram is woven in a classic Butta composition in pure mulberry silk, with individually spaced small gold zari buttas woven across a bright aqua turquoise body. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 14 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.

Border: Vivid Orchid Pink contrast silk carries repeated classic-gold zari bird-and-floral figurative panels, framed by fine geometric registers and closely ordered linear zari details.

Pallu: The Orchid Pink contrast pallu is substantially richer, with a dense classic-gold zari diamond lattice filled with repeated floral-style medallions, a broad row of large paisley-shaped forms and multiple fine parallel zari bands.

Styling: Repeat the border with a plain Orchid Pink blouse for the clearest colour story, or choose antique gold for a quieter treatment. Medium gold jhumkas, a slim bangle stack and a low braid with jasmine will suit daytime ceremonies. For evening programs, add a muted pink potli and keep the necklace compact so the saturated turquoise remains visible.

The aqua turquoise, Orchid Pink and gold palette is especially suited to Navratri and Golu gatherings, Vijayadashami, Deepavali celebrations, temple programs, weddings, receptions, arangetrams, classical performances, ceremonies, cultural gatherings and special occasions.
