Aqua Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Zari Kattam Saree with Gold Zari Border
Aqua Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Zari Kattam Saree with Gold Zari Border
A wedding anniversary celebration — the 25th silver jubilee dinner — calls for silk that feels graceful, luminous, and timeless. Fine zari threads intersect across the silk body to form a luminous grid — the defining structure of the Zari Kattam weave. Each saree takes 56 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Handwoven by generations of artisans, handwoven in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Read our story.
The body is woven in a refreshing aqua blue shade using pure mulberry silk, enriched with delicate gold zari buttas scattered across the finely woven Zari Kattam grid. The subtle interplay of shimmering checks and buttas creates a sophisticated texture that catches the light beautifully — a signature pure silk Kanchipuram weave.
The self-toned aqua border is richly woven with antique gold zari, featuring elegant peacock motifs, traditional floral vines, geometric zari bands, and classic Kanchipuram detailing. The coordinated border enhances the serene body colour while preserving the timeless elegance of authentic handwoven silk. The pallu continues the same gold zari and peacock detailing in a fuller sweep.
This saree is ideal for engagement ceremonies, housewarming celebrations, baby showers, temple visits, festive gatherings, and elegant wedding functions. Pair with an antique gold, aqua blue, or emerald green blouse, and gold jewellery — jhumkas, a delicate necklace, and bangles — for a refined, versatile look.
