Dewdrop Sage Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Zari Kattam Checks and Yazhi Border

Dewdrop Sage Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Zari Kattam Checks and Yazhi Border

Saraswati Puja — books, instruments, and silk sarees placed in worship calls for a saree with serene, majestic beauty. This handwoven pure silk Kanjeevaram saree is woven in the distinguished Zari Kattam style, where fine zari threads intersect across the silk body to form a luminous grid. Each saree takes 42 days from dyeing to finishing and cannot be replicated by machine. Woven with care by our family's artisan partners across Kanchipuram district. Read our story.

❖ Handwoven to order over 42 days — dyeing through to the final weave, with 16 days of that on the loom, no two pieces identical.
● Silk Mark Certified ● 16 Days on Loom ● Pure Mulberry Silk ● Handwoven in Kanchipuram

The body is woven in a tranquil dewdrop sage green pure mulberry silk, a soothing blend of soft sage, seafoam, and muted eucalyptus that evokes the calm of early morning dew. Fine Zari Kattam checks run across the silk with exceptional precision, each square enclosing exquisitely woven Mayil (peacock) and Kamalam (lotus) zari buttas. Explore more from our Zari Kattam Kanchipuram collection.

The magnificent border is richly woven with an imposing procession of majestic Yazhi motifs, symbols of strength and protection in South Indian temple architecture. The grandeur continues into the richly woven pallu, where elephants, flying horses, Irai (parrot) motifs, and traditional ornamental designs are meticulously arranged in magnificent zari panels.
