Vermilion Orange Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Zari Kattam and Elephant Border
Vermilion Orange Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Zari Kattam and Elephant Border
A vibrant vermilion orange Kancheepuram saree is woven in the classic zari kattam pattern. Fine zari threads intersect across the silk body to form a luminous grid, illuminating the self-coloured body from end to end. Each saree takes six days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine. Crafted by the weaving families of Kunnam village, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, using techniques passed down for generations — read our story.
The vermilion orange body is woven in pure mulberry silk, finished with delicate floral motifs that punctuate the zari kattam grid. Explore more from our Zari Kattam collection of Kanchipuram ceremonial silks.
A traditional elephant zari border, accented with a green selvedge, completes the saree with striking contrast, its pallu carrying the same elephant motif.
This saree suits festive occasions and temple visits alike. Pair with a green or gold blouse, and finish the look with temple jewellery.
