A luminous Vadamalli pink Kanjeevaram with the elaborate zari vocabulary of vintage Kanchipuram. The body is covered in an ordered array of ornate floral buttas, each catching the light against the saturated silk. Rich without feeling crowded, the repeated motifs create a beautiful sense of rhythm across the body.
❖ Handwoven in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu by artisan weaver families whose craft has been passed down for generations, using Silk Mark certified pure silk.
The Rettapet border is especially elegant. Individual zari buttas sit within finely drawn floral arches, creating an architectural sequence along the edge of the saree. The antique-gold zari against the raspberry-magenta silk gives the border the warmth of old temple metalwork.
The pallu is the highlight. Broad zari panels unfold into a handwoven elephant procession, with the motifs arranged in stately succession. It has the scale, density and storytelling quality associated with vintage Kanchipuram pallus.
