Like the first golden light falling across the stone corridors of a Kanchipuram temple, this saree brings together radiant manjal yellow and a deep indigo-violet reminiscent of the evening sky after rain. The saturated yellow silk has a sunlit glow; its weight, dense handwoven texture and lustre are unmistakably Kanchipuram.

The Silk & Body

A bright turmeric-yellow ground carries delicately spaced small gold zari buttas, allowing the broad strokes of colour to breathe. A separate deep indigo-violet contrast adds dramatic depth, with a visual shift between the gleaming yellow body and the cool, jewel-dark silk.

The Border

A deep indigo-violet korvai border is edged with vivid pink-red and slim teal accents and a highly detailed gold zari peacock-array pattern. The border’s closely set traditional motifs create an architectural, temple-textile rhythm.

The Pallu

An ornate indigo-violet pallu combines elaborate repeated peacock-inspired zari motifs, dense fine gold lines and contrasting coloured silk-thread stripes. Its rich bands of pattern form a striking finale, made especially luminous by the yellow-to-violet contrast.
