Thulir Pachai Green Lightweight Pure Silk Kanchipuram Silk Thread Kattam Saree with Black Gold Border
Thulir Pachai Green Lightweight Pure Silk Kanchipuram Silk Thread Kattam Saree with Black Gold Border
Thulir Pachai — the colour of the very first tender leaves. This lively, luminous green gives the lightweight Kanchipuram silk a wonderful freshness, while fine silk-thread kattams form an orderly lattice across the body.
Its border is a study in contrast. The vivid green rises into a row of traditional Thazhampoo Reku forms before meeting a deep black silk band, densely ornamented with antique-gold zari. Geometric Mayil Kann-inspired details and Rudraksham Pet-style accents bring a beautiful sense of old-Kanchi craftsmanship.
The pallu is bold and architectural. Broad parallel gold zari bands stretch across a black silk field, recalling the rhythmic stripe arrangements associated with Ilkal-style pallus. Against the brilliance of the green body, the black and gold feels especially striking.
Wear with a black silk blouse and antique-gold jewellery, allowing the colours and the woven structure to speak for themselves.
A lightweight pure silk Kanchipuram, rich in colour and beautifully considered in detail.
Blouse Piece Included: 0.8 m running blouse piece. See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
