Within the border, elephants and flying horses appear in gold zari, small figurative details held inside a strong geometric framework.
The pallu becomes considerably richer. Dense zari work leads to grand twin peacock motifs, giving the finish the grandeur associated with older ceremonial Kanchipuram sarees.
